For this Valentines Day my boyfriend, who lives in Maryland, came down for a week to visit. We were able to spend what was left of Friday night together after he stepped off the plane at 10:30pm as well as all of Saturday and a portion of Sunday. We were unsure of what we wanted to do on Valentines Day. We laid around for half the day and decided to make dinner at home and go to the fair later. The garlic bread smelled like poopy babies, and half the pasta came out over cooked. My boyfriend described the smell of the garlic beard as being similar "old ass".
To top it off, I didn't know how to eat the long slimy pasta. After dinner we played fear 2 and watched a movie. Although we didn't go to the fair or do much, the time we spent together after being apart from each other for so long means more than what we actually do.

I know what you mean. My freshman year of college, my fiance went to school in Mass. But he had family in Rhode Island. I flew up Friday night and had to fly out Sunday night. I was so depressed and cried the entire flight home. People looked at me like I had sprouted 3 heads. I mean I can understand why they did now (I was holding a red puppy dog, and balling my eyes out for two hours non-stop), but still bare with me people! But for our Valentines day, we laid around and watched the Notebook. BIG mistake for two people who hadn't seen each other since January 4th.

ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious! It always seems to happen that way, when you want things to go a certain way they never do, thats why I try and never have certain expectations for things anymore. The most important thing is that you guys did get to spend Valentine's day together. I bet it must be exciting having a LDR, I sometimes think I spend too much time with my boyfriend that it almost hurts the relationship because we get used to eachother! I guess the grass always seems greener on the other side!
ReplyDeletelmao "old ass." it must have been a blast. i really cant see how you girls do the long distance especially that long. i like to see my girlfriend at least once a week...lol...nahh but i think um pretty affectionate for a guy so i could do the long distance thing, but good luck wit it.
